Way back when my kids were little, a time long, long ago, we had one of the first portable home computers – What was it called? A teeny tiny screen in a huge box and maybe just a wee bit of memory. We also had an Atari with the cartridges – but I am dating myself. Apple came out with new models that were in the schools and I was hooked.
As a teacher, I was delighted when school budgets started mandating computers in every classroom. In the beginning, with little time to learn to use them, many computers sat gathering dust in boxes. As a science teacher I negotiated a roomful and created a computer lab for my students in my classroom. As one of the few in the building who really had the knowledge and experience using them, I rapidly became the assistant “techie” in the building – responding to calls of for help from those less experienced than I.
In the late 1990′s I was working as one of the first full time teachers at Washington Sates first on line public school. Internet Academy in the Federal Way School district took the concept of “home schooling” into the homes of many families for whom attending a building was not a possibility. Today, Internet Academy has been in operation for over 12 years.
Now I help small businesses such as yourself, with internet marketing solutions from web design, blogging, marketing, traffic generation – all the tasks to build better success for your business. I don’t know everything there is to know, yet I will find out for you and get you pointed in the right direction. As a learner I have been soaking it all in. As a teacher I want to share what I know. As a human being I want to help you maximize your success.
