A Gratitude Exercise

A gratitude exercise

Affirmative Thoughts in a Time of a Pandemic

100 Things You Are Grateful For or would be grateful to receive in future.

This exercise may seem simple, and I can almost guarantee you will be stretched with it. That is partly the point.

The process is quite simple; just think of 100 things you are grateful for (or would be grateful to have in your life someday). Consider using a journal for this exercises with room for sketches.

Breath deeply. Seek deeper answers. By doing this, it will open your mind to the staggering number of things there are to be grateful for. It will also help you invite abundance into your life, because you will be listing things you might not have yet and want for yourself (and others) in the future.

Some of the things you list may surprise you; things you never thought about being grateful for, or something you never realized you wanted.

There is no demand from me nor you to finish this list all in one go. It is not a speed contest. Sit quietly for awhile in one sitting and begin. Then keep coming back to it as you think of more items. Try not to repeat or duplicate items already on your list.

This can easily be made into a daily meditation practice that is very applicable today if you are needing to remain in self quarantine for any period of time.

I would love to hear your comments as you do this exercise.

In Gratitude,
Terry
