When things aren’t quite right with your PC while you are working, is it better to click restart or reboot?

I was curious, after all these years of working on a PC, if either one was better for the health of my computer, so I did a bit of investigating to find out. 

Apparently, there has been an ongoing, friendly debate about the most effective method for maintaining the health and performance of your machine. Some vote to restart some to shut down and reboot. 

While some argue that a regular restart is the key to keeping your system running smoothly, others swear by the benefits of a complete shutdown. 

Where do you stand?

Sleeping and restarting is my main choice for most nights. 

Restarting has cleared up a bunch of problems especially when I have way too many windows/tabs open when I am browsing. 

A restart, I’ve found, is excellent for troubleshooting and optimizing software performance, while a shutdown is ideal for energy conservation and hardware maintenance.
